Machines!

Can you think about what life would be like without machines? Think about your day and the tasks machines help you with! Can you even think of a few machines you use every day? Which machines can you absolutely not imagine your life without? From cars to spanners, machines are an essential part of our everyday lives! Let review the machines you learned about in this chapter so you can go out into the world and know your stuff when it comes to machines!

Simple Machines

As you can see from the picture there are six simple machines! Lets review them below.

Pulleys

We use pulleys to lift or lower heavy objects.

Inclined planes

Aside from machines people also use tools in their everyday lives. There are hand tools and power tools. Power tools use electricity to run. Some examples of hand tools are a knife, screwdriver, a paint brush and a plier. Examples of power tools are an electric drill an electric saw and an electric screwdriver. Look at the pictures below and identify if the tools are hand tools or power tools.

To finish off the unit review, watch this video on electricity!

I hope you enjoyed learning about machines, tools, and elctricity!
